The Simple Tee is a plain shirt with slightly overlapping sleeves and a small mock turtleneck, pretty decorative stitchings on the shoulders and sleeves as well as on the body. Airy and light as a basic, perfectly combinable and ideal for spring or summer. The shirt is worked seamlessly top down. At first you start with the collar which is formed with
short rows. The left- and right-leaning increases for the back and front are worked equally in every round on the shoulders. After finishing these increases, the front and back of the tee is knitted separately in rows to the end of the armhole. Then both parts are joined and you continue knitting in rounds. A slight sleeve slanting occurs by knitting a centered double decrease. The body of the Simple Tee is then continued and ends with the double-face hem.
You may choose to knit the hem the classic way or with a slit. For giving the Simple Tee the
special gimmick, you crochet a decorative stitching in the middle of the front and the back
between two stitches as well as on the sleeves and onto the shoulder seam.
